My Writing Process:

The process for writing my books is a bit different with each one, but I almost always start with the overall concept, or one of the characters. For some of my more recent works, The K Club and The K Club Dark Side series, I started with To Sir, which was a concept-first book. I knew I wanted to jump into writing a kink book, and the concept came easily – an author doing research for writing her own kink book. Liz Clark’s character came to me pretty easily. I knew she was a rebel, that she had some tattoos as part of this rebellion against an overbearing father, and in researching tattoos, I found this amazing scorpion tattoo. From there, I had to determine why she had this tattoo, and I decided it was because she was a Scorpio, and from there I ended up creating this completely new way to craft characters using astrology. It was so much fun, and it’s a method I use pretty frequently now with most of my books. For more on my writing process, take a look at the blog.

My Books:

So, I’ve found that I really enjoy writing series. While most of my books can be read as stand-alone books, many of them are interconnected in a series. The stand-alone books are also often holiday books! I love writing and reading holiday books. So far, I’ve got three that take place in the Thanksgiving – New Years realm, and one that is a Valentine’s day story.
