New Fur-babies!

Mr. Nichole and I are so happy to announce the additions of our fur babies, Boots and Rusty!

Boots and Rusty are an old married couple/bonded pair that have been together their whole lives. They’re both senior dogs (around 8-10 years old) and they were surrendered to a shelter when their owner was forced to go into assisted living. As many of you know, we lost our cat, Lily, in December, and the house hasn’t been the same without her fuzzy little face. It’s still not “the same” of course, but it also doesn’t feel so empty.

We brought Boots & Rusty home a little over a week ago, and we are head-over-heels in love with these two! They’re such good babies. We have had a few bumps in the road, with Bootsie trying to eat our shed to get to a groundhog! And we’re still adjusting to a new schedule/routine, but we couldn’t be happier!

If you met me at Rockin Romance in Gettysburg last month, you may have also met my parents’ dog, Honey, who we were pet sitting for the week. It was a good trial run for us to prepare the house for doggies, and I know it’s a bit nuts to just go out and adopt two dogs at once, in a day, but that’s us! Anything worth doing is worth over-doing!

Aren’t they just the sweetest?
